Hindustani Tabla

Rama Garimella grew up in Chattisgarh, India. She started learning Tabla at an early age. Later she joined Kamala Devi Sangeet Mahavidyalaya (affiliated to Indira Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh) and earned her B.Mus. in Tabla.

After coming to the US, Rama continued her training under Sri Ravi Gutala. At present, she is taking advanced lessons from Pandit Swapan Choudhuri at Ali Akbar College of Music, San Rafael, CA.

Smt. Rama has performed on various platforms in India and US. She has been teaching kids and adults for more than 15 years in Bay Area. She prepares her students to perform on various platforms.
