Anirudh Bharadwaj began his musical journey at the age of 5, learning Carnatic Vocal under Smt. Akhila Krishnan (Late), an eminent musician and Guru from Delhi, who trained under legendary Vidwans K.V. Narayanaswamy, Musiri Subramanya Iyer and Tirupambaram Swaminatha Pillai.
He has had the great fortune to learn from stalwarts like Sri Delhi P Sunderrajan and Ranjani-Gayatri. Growing up in Delhi, he performed in many local sabhas including Music Appreciation Center (MAC), Asthika Samaj, and Gayatri Fine Arts. Anirudh has trained numerous students in Carnatic vocal music in North America, Europe, Australia and India. His teaching style encompasses a holistic approach with emphasis on the finer nuances (gamakam) and aesthetics, traditional repertoire (Patantharam) and strengthening rhythm (layam) through an array of intriguing exercises. Anirudh has completed Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in South Indian Classical Music from the notable University of Madras. Sri. Anirudh is accepting new students this semester.
